Senior Sales Engineer – Dedrone (META)

About the role

Axon is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to lead the adoption of Dedrone’s smart airspace security solutions. You will work remotely while traveling up to 50 % of the time to engage with customers, partners and industry events. The role combines technical pre‑sales expertise with strong communication to protect against drone threats.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business and technical presentations, articulating Dedrone technology to IT leaders, CIOs and channel partners.
• Provide first‑level technical support throughout the pre‑sales cycle and manage proof‑of‑concept pilots.
• Develop and respond to customer RFPs/RFIs, position the solution against competitors, and create Statements of Work for professional services.
• Collaborate with product, sales and engineering teams to capture feature requests and improve technical documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3‑5 years in a customer‑facing pre‑sales or consulting role.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % and ability to work independently with substantial decision‑making latitude.
• Experience selling SaaS‑based solutions and a strong curiosity about security, hacking tools and exploitation methodologies.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals (IP, ARP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, PoE, Ethernet, IEEE 802.11).
• Linux operating system.
• Physical security concepts and IP‑camera placement.
• Drone technology and basic flight experience.
• SaaS solution architecture.
• Security knowledge (IPsec, InfoSec, hacking tools).
• Computer hardware, operating systems and storage devices.
