Senior Sales Engineer – Valves Industry (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Agile Consultants is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive technical sales and business development for a client in the valves sector. The role combines deep engineering knowledge with sales expertise to identify new opportunities, manage client relationships, and deliver customised valve solutions across oil & gas, power, water and petrochemical industries.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in target sectors by generating leads, networking and building long‑term client relationships.
• Manage pre‑qualification processes, vendor registrations and expand the approved vendor base.
• Provide technical consultation, prepare detailed proposals, cost estimations and quotations in line with ASME and API standards.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and on‑site support, including troubleshooting and coordinating with engineering teams.
• Maintain regular customer interaction, achieve sales targets and prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and market feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5–10 years of experience in technical sales or business development within the valve, mechanical services or industrial equipment sector.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships in oil & gas, power, water or petrochemical industries.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with a target‑driven, self‑motivated attitude.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of control valves, safety valves, industrial valves, pumps, pipes and fittings.
• Familiarity with ASME and API industry standards.
• Proficiency in CRM systems for sales tracking and reporting.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications for proposal preparation.
