Senior SAP ABAP and CPI Consultant

About the role

A Senior SAP ABAP and CPI Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of experience is sought for a permanent position in Dubai HQ, starting as soon as possible. The role focuses on streamlining integrations, standardizing programs and ensuring optimal performance in a newly migrated RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2023 environment, while applying SAP's Clean Core principles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms (Smartforms/Adobe) and enhancements, optimizing and refactoring code in line with Clean Core.
• Design, develop and maintain CPI iFlows to replace legacy PI/PO integrations, migrate interfaces to SAP CPI, troubleshoot integration scenarios and work on API-based integrations with SAP API Management and BTP.
• Analyze custom developments for standardization or retirement, propose Clean Core-aligned solutions and keep custom code aligned with BTP concepts.
• Monitor system performance, availability and uptime; handle backups, client copies, patching, kernel upgrades and support packages; manage system start-up/shutdown, job scheduling, system refreshes and database administration; work with hosting partners on SAP Cloud infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day technical support, perform root cause analysis and collaborate with Basis, Security and Functional teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• SAP certifications in ABAP and/or SAP Integration Suite / CPI.
• Minimum 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience across modules such as SD, MM, FI, PS, CS and HR.
• Proven expertise in SAP CPI / SAP BTP Integration Suite, API Management, OData, REST/SOAP integrations and system migrations.
• Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core and BTP extensibility, plus performance optimization, debugging and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• ABAP development and SAP CPI / BTP integration.
• Fiori/UI5 development and extensibility, Git, CI/CD and ATC.
• Good to have: SAP Basis and SAP Security knowledge, SAP Joule, GitHub Copilot, Claude, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js).
