Senior SAP ABAP CPI Consultant

About the role

A client of Michael Page in Dubai is looking for a Senior SAP ABAP CPI Consultant to lead its SAP Clean Core transformation in S/4HANA Cloud Drive ABAP, focusing on CPI and BTP integration excellence. The client is a forward-thinking organization that recently completed a major SAP transformation and continues to invest in modern enterprise technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize SAP ABAP programs, enhancements, interfaces and forms across multiple business functions.
• Lead the migration and modernization of integrations from legacy platforms to SAP Integration Suite (CPI) using best-practice architecture.
• Drive SAP Clean Core initiatives by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize or retire custom developments.
• Support API-led integration strategies using SAP BTP, API Management, OData, REST and SOAP services.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of SAP ABAP development experience across enterprise SAP environments.
• Proven hands-on expertise with SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP BTP and cloud integration architecture.
• Experience with APIs, OData services, REST/SOAP integrations and SAP transformation or migration projects.
