Senior Scent Design Manager – Fine Fragrance

About the role

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. As (Senior) Scent Design Manager, you will collaborate across functions and levels to contribute creatively to the development and introduction of new fragrance themes, technologies, consumer solutions, ideas and new development processes. The role is based in our Scent Creative Center in Dubai (UAE).

Key responsibilities

• Manage Go‑To‑Market projects and implement innovative fragrance development strategies.
• Connect market, customer and consumer needs to identify, develop and recommend competitive product solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (perfumers, technical, consumer insights, marketing) to uncover challenges and develop new fragrance solutions.
• Develop creative strategies according to Holistic Scent Design principles.
• Define consumer insights strategy to gain competitive advantage and build winning consumer‑relevant solutions.
• Provide creative direction and olfactive guidance to perfumers to stimulate exploration and differentiation.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Communicate market developments and competitive insights across the organization.

Required profile

• Excellent olfactive communication skills – discriminate, describe and recall odors.
• Ability to identify potential fragrance or technology solutions based on market relevance.
• Solid understanding of market/consumer trends and consumer behaviours.
• Fragrance ingredient and technology knowledge to facilitate communication with technical teams and perfumers.
• Basic technical understanding of fragrance formulations and ability to assess stability risks.
• Strong project‑management skills, disciplined and process‑oriented.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science, Product Research or related discipline.
• Fluent in English.
