Senior Shop Assistant – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Senior Shop Assistant for a six‑month contract to support its souvenir shops in Dubai. You will help drive sales, maintain inventory, and ensure a high‑quality customer experience in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports to identify fast‑selling and slow‑selling lines.
• Monitor key performance indicators and work towards annual sales and profit targets.
• Manage stock takes, maintain accurate inventory, and report to Finance.
• Maintain shop aesthetics, positioning best‑sellers to maximise sales.
• Ensure security of products, cash and shop assets.
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic.
• Good knowledge of the airline industry, sports events and retail.
• Friendly demeanour with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables.
• Experience with retail Point of Sale systems (e.g., Touche POS).
• Familiarity with Iprocurement Oracle.
