Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Performance & Scalability

About the role

Digitalzone is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive performance and scalability across its platform. You will enable engineering teams to handle campaign‑level traffic spikes by building capacity, testing frameworks, and observability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalability foundations such as capacity planning, autoscaling, caching, queueing, and graceful degradation for large traffic spikes.
• Establish load‑ and failure‑testing as a standard practice, providing frameworks, tooling, and runbooks for other teams.
• Own SLOs, error budgets, and the observability stack (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) for TypeScript, Go, and PHP/Laravel services.
• Harden Postgres and AWS infrastructure for performance and availability, reducing toil through automation and IaC.
• Lead incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems, and drive systemic fixes upstream.
• Partner early with engineering teams on capacity and resilience to make them self‑sufficient at scale.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, platform, or backend engineering with ownership of large‑scale systems handling tens of thousands of requests per minute.
• Proven track record of scaling systems during real traffic spikes and implementing load/failure testing programs adopted by other teams.
• Deep expertise in AWS and strong knowledge of Postgres performance and scaling.
• Calm, systematic approach to incidents and strong communication skills to influence and enable teams.
