Senior SOC Analyst

About the role

Deriv is looking for a Senior SOC Analyst to join its autonomous security operations team in Dubai. You will work on a platform that proactively hunts threats, automates response, and continuously learns, protecting a high‑value trading system that processes billions of dollars daily.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and triage real‑time alerts from the SIEM, distinguishing noise from genuine incidents.
• Develop and fine‑tune detection rules and automated playbooks to prevent threats before they materialise.
• Conduct deep investigations of suspicious activity, such as anomalous logins or unexpected processes, and drive rapid root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed AI‑driven security checks into pull‑requests and the AI agent stack.
• Continuously improve the security platform by identifying blind spots, creating exclusions, and extending coverage to emerging attack vectors (e.g., prompt injection, tool misuse).

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or similar environment.
• Proven ability to operate under pressure, handling long periods of routine alert triage followed by rapid incident response.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on proactive threat hunting.
• Experience working in regulated, high‑transaction financial services is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM technologies.
• Knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and related rule sets.
• Familiarity with AI/automation concepts applied to security.
• Ability to script or automate detection logic.
