Senior SOC Monitoring Analyst

About the role

The Security Operations Centre team at CPX is seeking a senior analyst to lead security monitoring, analyse log sources, respond to incidents and enhance the overall security operations programme across CPX and client technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Validate incidents escalated by Tier 1 SOC analysts and perform second‑level threat analysis.
• Conduct research, correlation and analysis across diverse data sets, including log files, network traffic and threat‑intelligence feeds.
• Provide recommendations for incident handling, security monitoring and validation of physical security controls.
• Identify weaknesses in software, hardware and networks and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain and tune SIEM content, develop reports and dashboards, and monitor external threat sources.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Highly analytical, problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced security team.
• Ethical, honest, and able to obtain required security clearances.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, with ownership of tasks and projects.

Required skills

• Experience with Windows, Linux and Unix environments.
• Proficiency with network investigation tools such as Wireshark.
• Hands‑on knowledge of SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk) and EDR solutions.
• Familiarity with open‑source analysis tools: ELK, Rekall, Ghidra, FlareVM.
• Understanding of NIDS/HIDS, DLP technologies and threat‑intelligence monitoring.
