Senior Software Engineer - GenAI & Node.js

About the role

Join one of the UAE's most recognised banks as a Senior Software Engineer working at the intersection of backend development and Generative AI. You will build highly scalable APIs and AI‑driven solutions that serve millions of banking customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, highly available RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Engineer, fine‑tune and integrate prompts for large language model solutions via Azure OpenAI.
• Leverage Azure AI services such as Speech, Language, and PII Detection within a regulated banking environment.
• Develop real‑time communication features using WebSockets.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments with Docker and Kubernetes, and ensure API security following firewall and network best practices.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern ECMAScript standards.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure OpenAI and other Azure AI services.
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing REST APIs and micro‑service architectures.
• Ability to write non‑blocking, high‑performance code and apply advanced techniques when needed.
• Fluent written and spoken Arabic is mandatory.
