Senior Solutions Architect

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of resilient, secure core banking solutions within a microservices and API‑centric ecosystem. The role combines deep banking domain expertise with cutting‑edge AI and cyber‑security knowledge to drive innovative, cloud‑native architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect end‑to‑end core banking implementations, integrating with switches, 3rd‑party ecosystems, REST APIs and ISO8583 protocols.
• Lead at least three projects delivering secure, reliable microservices‑based solutions on containerised/cloud‑native platforms.
• Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines and best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with Agile squads, participating in quarterly planning, sprint ceremonies and delivering features, epics and stories.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience building high‑level designs for core banking applications (e.g., Finacle) and related integration layers.
• Strong background in banking, payments or settlements with a willingness to learn new domains.
• Proven ability to embed cyber‑security controls such as authentication, encryption, data classification and threat modelling.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AI technologies including machine learning, generative AI and large language models.
