Senior Solutions Engineer - Presales

About the role

As a Senior Solutions Engineer Presales at NetApp in Dubai, you will work closely with client sales executives to align NetApp's technical strategy with the customer's long-term vision and goals. You will address business and IT challenges with differentiated solutions, evaluate the customer's environment and how NetApp's portfolio can improve their journey, and provide deep technical knowledge in account development and account strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and drive opportunities in new and existing customers in close collaboration with client executives.
• Increase NetApp revenue in aligned accounts and maximize NetApp's share of wallet.
• Translate customer business needs into technical solutions using NetApp's portfolio, with knowledge of the competitive and technology landscape.
• Partner with wider teams to build comprehensive solutions.
• Conduct demonstrations and lead POCs with SMEs as needed.
• Manage accounts, opportunities and pipeline with NetApp's sales tools in line with the client executive.
• Identify growth opportunities beyond the current install base, workloads and products.
• Build industry, solution and technical acumen to grow relevance and footprint in accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Technical Sales, Presales or Solution Engineering, with large strategic customers across the Abu Dhabi territory.
• Fluent communicator with excellent presentation skills; able to provide technical leadership in team-selling environments.
• Strong relationships with customers across the territory.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Hybrid Cloud, Data Management Infrastructure and Storage solutions.
• Cyber resilience and data protection, including backup, disaster recovery and ransomware mitigation.
• AI & Analytics, data-driven solutions and infrastructure planning for AI use cases.
• General application and database knowledge (Oracle, SQL, VDI).
• Video surveillance solutions and storage needs, including VMS and retention strategies for public safety, transport and smart cities.
