Senior Sous Chef

About the role

The Senior Sous Chef will lead production teams in a high‑volume airline catering environment, ensuring timely, high‑quality output that meets strict airline specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff to meet production schedules, monitor portion size, weight, presentation and colour‑coding of food items.
• Manage material, staff and equipment efficiently to guarantee on‑time deliveries while adhering to all kitchen policies and regulations.
• Conduct daily tastings, briefings and reports, and address operational issues proactively.
• Maintain production sheets for Emirates Kuwait and other airlines, supporting lean manufacturing standards to eliminate waste.

Required profile

• Hotel Management or Culinary degree.
• Minimum 6 years of culinary experience, preferably in a 5‑star, high‑volume a‑la‑carte or banqueting kitchen.
• Proven leadership managing a large, multicultural workforce.
• Experience with recipe compliance, menu development and cost control.
