Senior Specialist – Change and Release

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is seeking a Senior Specialist to enable safe, predictable changes and releases for its AI‑driven products. You will coordinate change risk, release readiness and communication across internal teams and external customers, acting as the senior practitioner responsible for assigned changes and releases.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and improve change enablement and release practices, applying policies and escalating exceptions.
• Review changes for impact, dependencies, risk, testing evidence and recovery readiness, ensuring proper approvals.
• Maintain standard, normal and emergency change paths and develop pre‑authorised change models.
• Coordinate release plans, calendars and resolve shared‑service conflicts early.
• Confirm release readiness with engineering, quality and support, including evidence, runbooks and handover.
• Facilitate go/no‑go decisions, record decisions and unresolved risks.
• Capture change and release evidence from delivery pipelines, reducing manual duplication.
• Track post‑release health, coordinate recovery decisions and report on change outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience coordinating production changes and software releases across multiple technical teams.
• Working knowledge of ITIL change enablement and release management with risk‑proportionate controls.
• Understanding of software delivery lifecycles, version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to challenge incomplete release plans and work constructively with engineers.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong planning skills and sound judgement during incidents.
