Senior Specialist - Data Science

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist in Data Science to drive our AI strategy and deliver cutting‑edge analytical solutions for Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. You will work within the GBS team, collaborating with cross‑functional partners to enhance banking operations and digital customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced data science solutions that support the organisation’s AI strategy.
• Lead the design and execution of analytical models, ensuring data integrity, scalability and relevance to business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights and contribute to AI‑related workforce planning.
• Design and deploy AI/ML models to optimise core banking processes, improve digital journeys and support strategic decision‑making.
• Build and maintain robust machine‑learning pipelines using Azure AI Foundry or AWS SageMaker, ensuring automation and seamless cloud integration.
• Develop and fine‑tune generative AI models (RAG, agentic workflows) using techniques such as LoRA, PEFT and multimodal architectures.
• Design and execute experimental frameworks, including A/B testing, to validate model performance with statistical inference.
• Work with software and data engineers to implement version‑controlled, containerised (Docker) solutions and CI/CD pipelines for efficient model deployment.
• Define documentation standards, coding practices and reproducibility protocols across data‑science projects.
• Monitor model performance using MLOps and LLM metrics (BLEU, ROUGE) to ensure transparency, fairness and continuous improvement.
