Senior Specialist – Engineering and Technical Planning

About the role

EDGE is seeking an experienced aviation engineering professional to join its Abu Dhabi team. The Senior Specialist will support maintenance planning, technical operations, quality assurance and system integration within a fast‑moving aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities.
• Monitor ACMI maintenance schedules, inspections and technical compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate technical records, maintenance documentation and engineering data.
• Provide leadership and technical support during inspections, repairs and maintenance projects.
• Ensure maintenance quality, regulatory compliance and safety standards.
• Support development of maintenance facilities, workshops and technical infrastructure.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement solutions for integration and system failures.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and operational performance.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience in aircraft maintenance and technical operations.
• Experience in technical integrations and system support.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities in complex operational environments.
