Senior Specialist – General Secretariat

About the role

The Central Bank of the UAE is seeking a seasoned Senior Specialist for its General Secretariat Department. The role ensures the smooth operation of Board of Directors meetings, Executive Committees and other key committees, providing both administrative and technical support while upholding corporate governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and arrange meeting dates, times, locations and agendas for the Board of Directors.
• Collect, organize and prepare memorandums and supporting materials for Board and Executive Committee meetings.
• Conduct technical analysis of presentations, including executive summaries, prior decisions and follow‑up tables.
• Oversee communication with committee members regarding meeting particulars.
• Document, issue and distribute decisions, and monitor implementation.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles, legal requirements and quality standards.
• Manage the e‑meeting system for committees and drive continuous improvement of board processes.
• Provide governance support to all relevant committees and sub‑committees.

Required profile

• Proven experience in secretariat or board governance functions, preferably within a financial or regulatory institution.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and legal requirements for meetings.
• Excellent organizational and self‑management skills, with the ability to set and achieve performance goals.
• Ability to work independently, identify training needs and collaborate with senior management.
