Senior Specialist - HSE

About the role

The Senior Specialist - HSE at AD Ports Group’s Abu Dhabi Food Hub is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance, as well as quality assurance initiatives within the Economic Cities & Free Zones Cluster. The role establishes, implements, and maintains the Integrated Management System (IMS) together with Business Process Manager and Operations Leaders, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) and food‑related quality protocols, ensuring alignment with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
• Lead HSE compliance programs, conduct regular risk assessments, coordinate corrective actions with the HSE team, and serve as the primary liaison with food safety and hygiene authorities.
• Plan, coordinate and lead all external and internal certification audits (ISO, HACCP, etc.), prepare documentation, and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Design and deliver training programmes on quality, HSE and compliance topics for staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree in Quality or Environmental Management is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance, HSE or compliance within logistics, food processing or industrial environments.
• Fluent English (mandatory) and good knowledge of Arabic (preferred).
