Senior Specialist Legal Editor – Litigation (Practical Law)

About the role

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Specialist Legal Editor to join the Practical Law Litigation team in Dubai. You will leverage your litigation expertise to create, maintain and enhance a wide range of legal content while supporting the development of AI‑powered legal solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write and maintain clear, up‑to‑date legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
• Review and edit content produced by colleagues or external expert contributors.
• Monitor legal, practice and market developments to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Apply legal expertise to support the design and improvement of Thomson Reuters’ AI‑driven legal products.
• Collaborate with product, sales, marketing and technology teams to integrate content into AI editorial tools.
• Develop and sustain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to reflect current market practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification litigation experience, with recent substantial work in the United Arab Emirates.
• Admission to practice as a solicitor, barrister (UK/US/common law) or lawyer in a Middle‑East jurisdiction.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong legal writing ability, capable of producing concise, plain‑English content.
• Collaborative mindset, able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptable and curious about the intersection of AI and legal practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with generative AI technologies.
• Experience using AI editorial tools for legal content creation.
