Senior Specialist Legal Editor – Practical Law Litigation

About the role

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Specialist Legal Editor for its Practical Law Litigation team in Dubai. You will leverage your litigation expertise to create, maintain, and enhance a broad portfolio of legal content while supporting the development of AI‑powered legal solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write, and update clear, practical legal content that aligns with market practice and customer needs.
• Review and edit contributions from colleagues and external experts.
• Monitor legal and market developments to keep content accurate and relevant.
• Apply legal knowledge to support AI‑driven product development and internal editorial tools.
• Build and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to ensure content reflects current practice.
• Collaborate with product, sales, marketing, and technology teams as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in litigation (law firm or in‑house) within the UAE.
• Admission to practice as a solicitor, barrister, or lawyer in a common‑law jurisdiction or a Middle‑East country.
• Fluent in Arabic and business‑level English, both written and spoken.
• Strong writing ability with a focus on plain‑English legal communication.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work independently.
