Senior Specialist – Project Risk Management

About the role

The Senior Specialist in Project Risk Management will lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks across ADNOC's strategic capital projects. This role ensures that risk response actions are in place to increase the likelihood of meeting project objectives and supports efficient project maturation and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Project Risk Management discipline across all Group Companies, providing direction, advice and integration of risk standards.
• Develop, maintain and update risk management standards, guidelines, procedures and the technical framework, acting as the Group Technical Authority (Level 1).
• Oversee the implementation of the Technical Authority Framework, appointing Technical Authorities in each Group Company.
• Assess top project risks for ADNOC’s Capital Program and report to senior leadership and the ERM function.
• Foster a risk‑aware culture, conduct risk reviews, and present risk action plans to leadership.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, talent development and continuous improvement of risk management capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced degree in Project Risk Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas project and risk management at project, business‑unit and corporate levels.
• Professional certifications such as PMI‑RMP® and PMP® are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with risk management software: Archer, ARM, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Deltek Acumen Fuse, Safran.
• Strong knowledge of project risk management methodologies and standards.
