Senior Specialist – Project Risk Management

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Risk Management will lead the Project Risk Management discipline across ADNOC’s strategic capital projects. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated to support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of risk management standards, guidelines and procedures for all Group companies.
• Oversee the implementation of the Technical Authority Framework and appoint Technical Authorities across the Group.
• Assess top project risks, prepare risk action plans and report to senior executives and the ERM function.
• Drive continuous improvement of risk management capabilities, tools and knowledge communities.
• Manage departmental budgets, resource planning and performance against KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced degree in Project Risk Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas project and risk management at project, business‑unit and corporate levels.
• Professional certifications such as PMI‑RMP® and PMP® are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor talent, with focus on Emiratization targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Archer, ARM, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Deltek Acumen Fuse and Safran.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, competency assessment and knowledge‑sharing platforms.
