Senior Specialist – Projects (DCS SME)

About the role

AIQ is seeking a Senior Specialist – Projects (DCS SME) to lead the installation and maintenance of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as AspenTech or Honeywell. The role covers all project phases, ensuring timely delivery, proper configuration, and ongoing support for site engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform onsite step testing for process and well operations and develop advanced control strategies using dynamic linear models and MPC techniques.
• Oversee I&C installation activities, review and approve design, OPC equipment, and test procedures, and ensure compliance with contract, codes, safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with IT/OT, digital oil field teams, and civil/mechanical/electrical works to avoid conflicts and maintain project schedule.
• Prepare regular site progress reports, manage variation records, and verify completeness of hand‑over packages and commissioning manuals.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience with Distributed Control Systems, including at least 5 years leading onsite installation, configuration and support.
• Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Process Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
• Familiarity with ADNOC HSE safety standards and network architecture (OT/IT).
