Senior Static Engineer - Offshore

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Static Engineer to lead the design and delivery of static equipment for offshore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role operates independently at an advanced engineering level, supporting both technical delivery and business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced engineering assignments, ensuring compliance with regulations, codes and industry standards.
• Provide discipline supervision for projects, mentor junior engineers and manage resource loading.
• Support business development by preparing technical proposals, estimating costs and presenting solutions to customers.
• Develop equipment specifications for tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and air‑fin coolers, and conduct design verification and document checks.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary activities, resolve vendor and customer issues, and ensure HSE compliance on site.
• Lead procurement support, including ITP review, vendor evaluation, FAT coordination and material certification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with extensive experience in static equipment design for offshore oil & gas.
• Expert knowledge of ASME Section VIII pressure vessel design, PWHT, NDE, metallurgy and material selection.
• Proven experience in detailed design, EPC phase execution and procurement package management.
• Familiarity with Middle East offshore projects and ability to conduct HAZID/HAZOP and constructability reviews.
• Strong mentoring, training and performance review capabilities.
