Senior Steward - Kitchen Stewards

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island, the first integrated resort in the UAE set to open in 2027, is looking for a Senior Steward to join its Kitchen Stewards team. The role supervises the cleaning of crockery, pots, glassware and kitchen equipment and keeps kitchen areas clean and compliant with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise stewarding operations so that crockery, pots, glassware and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized and stored correctly.
• Monitor and support stewards in their daily duties while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Keep all kitchen areas, including floors, ceilings, ovens and workstations, clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Oversee the use, handling, storage and control of cleaning chemicals and stewarding supplies.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with hygiene, environmental and company requirements.
• Conduct daily briefings, coach staff on the job and correct operational deviations.
• Support the Stewarding Supervisor, take on leadership when required and ensure smooth shift operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of stewarding experience in a 5-star hotel or integrated resort, including at least 1 year in a team leader role.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Physically fit, able to lift heavy loads and clean large equipment and high areas.
• Flexible to work shifts and business-driven schedules.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of stewarding operations, cleaning chemicals, health and safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
