Senior Store Manager – Food Retail (Marks & Spencer)

About the role

The Senior Store Manager – Food leads a high‑volume Marks & Spencer Food store in Dubai, driving commercial success, operational excellence, and an outstanding customer experience. Reporting to Regional Operations, the role combines strategic leadership with day‑to‑day store management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the store’s commercial strategy to meet sales, profit and operational targets.
• Analyse trading performance, KPIs and customer data to identify growth opportunities and implement action plans.
• Lead a large cross‑functional team, fostering a high‑performance culture and ensuring compliance with M&S Food standards.
• Oversee food safety, product availability, inventory control, waste reduction and shrinkage management.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning and Commercial teams to align merchandising, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
• Monitor labour productivity, customer satisfaction and staff engagement, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a high‑volume food retail operation, preferably within a premium brand.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales and profitability goals.
• Leadership experience overseeing large, cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and operational standards.
• Ability to analyse data, interpret KPIs and make data‑driven decisions.
