Senior Sustainability Engineer - Site

About the role

Own day‑to‑day sustainability delivery on a live construction site. You will coordinate LEED (v4/v4.1) and Estidama PBRS requirements from pre‑construction through handover, handling planning submissions, hosting audits, verifying field works and securing Pearl Design Rating to Pearl Construction Rating.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver LEED and Estidama certification, maintaining construction‑phase credit plans, evidence logs, photo records and monthly dashboards.
• Manage Estidama stages and audits, including early‑works submissions, pre‑PCR audit planning, CRQ submission and final Pearl Construction Rating close‑out.
• Oversee materials and procurement compliance, reviewing each submittal for LEED construction‑phase credit alignment and ensuring required documentation (EPD, HPD, VOC reports, SDS, manufacturer letters).
• Conduct routine sustainability site walks, raise and close NCRs, deliver toolbox talks and align monthly sustainability reports with QA/QC and HSE.
• Implement and verify the Construction IAQ plan, including filtration, housekeeping, moisture control and material storage.
• Monitor waste and resource performance, track CDWMP segregation, weighbridge tickets and temporary site energy/water KPIs, driving improvement actions.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with CxA/ICA, manage pre‑functional checklists, TAB witness and evidence for Estidama Stage 4 and PCR close‑out.
• Liaise with main contractor, subcontractors, client representatives and authorities to ensure audit submissions, risk visibility and deadline compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science or related field.
• LEED AP and Estidama PQP certification with proven Pearl delivery experience.
• Minimum 10 years delivering LEED/Estidama on live construction sites in the GCC.
• Strong command of PDR → PCR workflow and Stage 1‑4b audit expectations.
• Proficiency with LEED Online, Estidama templates, and MS Excel for logs and dashboards.
• UAE driving licence and car; frequent travel to sites across the UAE.
