Senior Systems Engineer - Active Directory & Veeam

About the role

NMC Group Services is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer in Abu Dhabi to administer and maintain its Active Directory and backup infrastructure. The role covers domain controllers, user and group management, Group Policy, Veeam backup administration and Level 2/Level 3 infrastructure support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Domain Controllers, Organizational Units and user and group management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory replication and authentication issues, run routine health checks and support security hardening and compliance.
• Design, implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and security policies.
• Manage the Enterprise Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure, including restore testing, disaster recovery exercises, backup repositories, retention policies and storage.
• Monitor server, domain controller and backup infrastructure availability and performance, and provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for infrastructure incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in System Administration or Infrastructure Support roles.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent Microsoft certifications.
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).

Required skills

• Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Windows Server administration
• Veeam Backup & Replication and backup/disaster recovery concepts
• Infrastructure security best practices and basic PowerShell scripting (an advantage)
• Familiarity with virtualization and storage technologies
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, communication and documentation skills
