Senior Tax & Accounting Expert – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a senior tax and accounting professional to lead our accounting and tax team in Dubai. The role combines hands‑on month‑end closing, compliance and client delivery with the responsibility of developing and mentoring staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise the accounting & tax team.
• Allocate work, set deadlines and ensure quality control of accounts, VAT returns and corporate tax calculations.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, month‑end and year‑end closing, and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations, including provisions for depreciation, EOSB, leave, inventory and accruals.
• Manage VAT compliance (registration, filing, refunds, audits) and corporate tax registrations, calculations and filings.
• Advise clients on UAE VAT and corporate tax matters and liaise with the Federal Tax Authority and external auditors.
• Support audits, inspections and tax assessments, and assist management with process improvement and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of UAE experience in accounting and taxation within an accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax law.
• Proven team leadership and supervisory experience.
• Experience handling FTA audits and compliance.
• Excellent English communication and analytical skills.

Required skills
