Senior Tax Analyst - Group Tax

About the role

The Senior Tax Analyst supports tax compliance, planning and risk management for the Al-Futtaim Group and helps execute its tax strategy across markets. The role works with businesses, service providers and other tax professionals to ensure the Group complies with all relevant tax laws and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Tax strategy: support the Group Tax strategy through analysis, monitoring and coordination across planning, compliance and risk management.
• Business community: collaborate with stakeholders to give tax analysis and advice on transactions and acquisitions.
• Tax community: coordinate with tax teams across the Group to collect information, follow up on actions and apply Group Tax policies consistently.
• Tax compliance: monitor timely filing of tax returns including VAT, and support review of complex income tax returns.
• Tax planning: identify planning opportunities and prepare supporting information for Group Tax management.
• Tax risk: help identify, assess and monitor tax risks across the Group's geographies.
• Tax accounting: review tax provisions and reconciliations, analyse tax balances in the general ledger and follow up on issues.
• Document management: keep tax documents in the central database and coordinate responses to information requests.
• Tax controversy: assist with tax audits by preparing analyses, coordinating information requests and working with Group Tax and external advisers.
• Transfer pricing: support compliance, review supporting analyses and maintain transfer pricing documentation.

Required profile

• Certified in Tax, Finance or Accounting.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Mandatory knowledge of GCC tax.
• 5-7 years of experience in an international tax environment.
• Required experience with a Big 4 accounting firm.
