Senior Tax Manager – Middle East

About the role

Support and manage taxation activities across the Middle East business, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and alignment with global standards. Collaborate with finance teams, senior leadership and external stakeholders to drive tax efficiency and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support compliance with local tax regulations across the Middle East, including timely submission of corporate tax, withholding tax, and VAT returns.
• Review material transactions from a tax perspective and communicate tax risks and mitigations to management.
• Apply knowledge across direct, indirect, and employment taxes, including transfer pricing, and maintain compliance trackers.
• Facilitate resolution of tax assessments and assist in evaluating uncertain tax positions and tax provisioning discussions.
• Advise on tax implications of business transactions, cross‑border activities, and corporate restructuring to reduce tax cost.
• Coordinate with finance teams, senior leadership, and external auditors, reporting to the VP – Global Taxation.
• Support implementation of OECD Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) requirements and transfer‑pricing disclosures.

Required profile

• 7–10 years’ experience in tax, including experience with a Big 4 or reputable advisory firm.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of Middle East tax laws, regulations, practices and procedures.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Ability to develop creative, defensible tax results within legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
