Senior Technical Consultant – AgriTech Robotics R&D

About the role

HTC Global Services seeks a Senior Technical Consultant to lead AgriTech Robotics R&D initiatives on a 6‑month extendable contract in Al Ain, UAE. The consultant will provide strategic and technical advisory across innovation, automation, and technology commercialization for challenging environmental conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Scout and evaluate global agricultural robotics and automation technologies, assessing maturity, performance, reliability and scalability for UAE conditions.
• Conduct technology scouting, due diligence and benchmarking of emerging solutions, identifying technical risks and validation requirements.
• Evaluate cooling, thermal‑management, water‑related and advanced‑material technologies for high‑temperature, water‑constrained environments.
• Support innovation portfolios, prioritize technology investments, and develop techno‑economic business cases for commercialization.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams, develop assessment methodologies, and lead technical workshops and knowledge‑transfer activities.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in applied engineering, technology development, innovation management and robotics systems.
• Proven track record taking technologies from research through field validation, product development and deployment.
• Strong experience evaluating technologies for harsh environmental conditions and conducting feasibility and techno‑economic studies.
• International exposure across industry, academia, startups or research institutions with excellent stakeholder‑management skills.
