Senior Technical Engineer Fire Doors (Steel & Wood) & Hardware

About the role

We are looking for a senior technical engineer with deep expertise in steel and wood fire doors and associated hardware. The role combines technical consultation, sales support, and client communication within a fast‑paced, problem‑solving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and technical support on the specification, installation, and compliance of steel and wood fire doors and hardware to contractors, architects, and project managers.
• Prepare accurate quotations, technical submittals, and project proposals to secure commercial opportunities while ensuring alignment with fire safety regulations.
• Interpret architectural drawings and building specifications, delivering practical, compliant solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to optimise product selections, quotations, and delivery timelines.
• Deliver clear technical presentations and supporting documentation to influence decision‑makers in the construction and architectural sectors.
• Diagnose and resolve technical queries throughout a project's lifecycle, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related field (strongly preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of technical sales or engineering experience involving fire doors, security doors, and associated hardware.
• Proactive, self‑starting attitude with strong accountability for compliance and performance, detail‑oriented and highly organised.
