Senior Technical Engineer – Steel & Aluminium Glazing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Engineer with deep expertise in steel and aluminium glazing systems to support the design, specification and delivery of complex façade, window and door solutions across commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support for the design, specification and installation of steel and aluminium glazing systems, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Develop accurate quotations, technical sub‑mittals and bespoke proposals aligned with the latest standards and architectural specifications.
• Interpret architectural drawings, design intent documents and specification schedules to deliver compliant glazing solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, estimating, operations and procurement teams to optimise system selection, costing and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to architects, contractors and developers, clarifying product performance and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil, Structural, Building Services Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline (preferred).
• At least 4 years of technical, sales or engineering experience in steel and aluminium glazing, including façades, curtain walling and bespoke solutions.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, performance standards and best practices for glazing system design and installation.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
