Senior Technician - Special Process Machinist

About the role

Sanad Aerotech is hiring a Senior Technician in its Machine Shop (Aviation & Aero Engine MRO, Gate 2, Special Process, Abu Dhabi). The technician carries out precise machining operations on aircraft, engine parts and components, following technical manuals and engineering drawings to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Machining (70%): independently carry out machining on conventional machines (horizontal and vertical lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, universal cylindrical grinders, tool and cutter grinders) and operate CNC machines including Doosan, Toshulin, Spinner, Deckel, CNC EDM and 5-axis CNC mills
• Quality control (10%): inspect and release completed work promptly, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Safety and compliance (10%): follow company quality, safety, health and environmental regulations and take part in safety and environmental programmes
• Maintenance and tool calibration (5%): keep the work area clean and maintain equipment and calibrate tools
• Continuous improvement (5%): contribute to process improvements, share ideas to improve machining techniques and pursue ongoing training

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of progressive aviation industry experience
• Vocational or technical education
• D2 level authorization in machine shop practices
• Experience on aircraft components, such as landing gear lugs and bush installation, is highly desirable
• Strong English communication skills and a proactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
