About the role
An experienced Senior Telecommunications Technician is sought to support and maintain critical IT and telecom systems in an offshore oil and gas environment in the Middle East. The work follows a 28/28 on/off rotation.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day telecom and IT operational issues.
- Perform telecom system operation, administration and maintenance.
- Support modifications, system reconfiguration and technical troubleshooting.
- Prepare and update logical block diagrams and redline drawings.
- Support offshore projects and small-scale telecom initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors, end users and internal telecom teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, information security and technical standards.
Required profile
- 12th grade plus a 2-year diploma in Information Systems.
- Minimum 5 years of telecom experience in oil and gas; offshore experience highly preferred.
- Experience in IT/telecom support environments; oil and gas project experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of relevant IT/telecom standards.
