- Source, evaluate and execute direct investments, co-investments and fund commitments in the UAE and internationally, leading due diligence, deal structuring and exits.
- Oversee portfolio performance against benchmarks, select and monitor external fund managers and private banks, and manage liquidity and capital calls.
- Work with legal, tax and fiduciary advisers on holding structures, foundations, trusts and SPVs (e.g. in DIFC or ADGM), and support succession planning and family governance.
- Run the Investment Committee, implement a risk management framework and ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax, economic substance, UBO, CRS and FATCA, and with KYC and anti-money laundering rules.
- Maintain arm's-length separation between the family's private investments and AHS Group companies, and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting to the Principal.
- Manage relationships with private banks, custodians and asset managers, and build, lead and develop the Family Office investment and finance team.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; MBA, CFA or CAIA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in investment management, private equity, investment banking or a single- or multi-family office, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Senior experience at a tier-one global financial institution such as J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Barclays or a comparable bank, private bank or asset manager.
- Proven track record managing a multi-asset portfolio and executing direct private investments.
- Experience working directly with a Principal or ultra-high-net-worth family in the GCC.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of wealth structuring, family governance and the UAE regulatory and tax environment (DIFC, ADGM).
- Real estate investment expertise and an established network of private banks, fund managers and co-investors.
