Senior Vice President Supply Chain

About the role

The Senior Vice President Supply Chain leads the end-to-end supply chain strategy of the airline, covering procurement, category management, contracts, supplier management, logistics, warehousing, inventory, fleet operations, workshop services and goods movement. The role is accountable for supply continuity, operational excellence, cost optimization, commercial performance, revenue generation and digital transformation of the supply chain function.

Key responsibilities

• Set the division's strategy, objectives and plans, establish KPIs, budgets and targets, ensure compliance with governance and Delegation of Authority, and lead organizational development, succession planning, talent management and Emiratization.
• Lead strategic sourcing, category management and supplier relationship management; oversee procurement of goods, services, consultancy, concessions and capital projects; develop tendering strategies and lead contract negotiations; monitor supplier performance and contract compliance.
• Oversee inventory, warehousing, logistics and materials management, and fleet management, vehicle workshops and goods movement; manage supply chain risks and business continuity.
• Drive commercial performance and revenue growth, including pricing strategies, tariffs and revenue assurance, and monitor financial performance, cost savings and budget adherence.
• Lead digital transformation, including ERP, e-sourcing, contract management and analytics systems, and promote automation, data analytics and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, support HSE and sustainability objectives, monitor contractor compliance and maintain ethical procurement practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Professional certification such as CIPS, CSCP or equivalent.
• At least 14 years of experience across supply chain, procurement, logistics and contract management, including at least 10 years in senior leadership of large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven experience leading major procurement programs and supply chain transformation initiatives.
• Experience in aviation, government, semi-government, infrastructure or facilities management is preferred.
