Server‑Side Swift Engineer for Level Shoes

About the role

We are seeking a Server‑Side Swift Engineer to join the backend team of Level Shoes, building Vapor‑based micro‑services that power iOS, Android and web storefronts across GCC markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in Swift using Vapor.
• Own the full lifecycle of services – from implementation and code review to deployment and production health.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for commerce flows such as authentication, catalogue, cart, checkout, payments and orders.
• Integrate third‑party systems (commerce platform, order management, search, CMS, payment gateways) and handle webhooks with graceful degradation.
• Implement concurrency‑safe, idempotent processing and optimise data models and queries in MongoDB, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments on Kubernetes and monitor production using logging and metrics tools.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years building production backend services with server‑side Swift (Vapor).
• Strong understanding of Swift concurrency, protocol‑oriented design, RESTful API design and authentication.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch and integrating payment gateways.
• Proficiency in deploying and operating services on Kubernetes and AWS.
• Background in e‑commerce or domains where reliability has direct financial impact.
