Service Station Manager

About the role

RH Aero Systems, which owns Rhinestahl and HYDRO Systems, provides ground support equipment, engine and airframe tooling and engineered solutions to OEMs, MROs and operators worldwide. The Service Station Manager leads the day-to-day operation of the Service Station, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership, customer management, safety, quality, financial control and operational delivery. The role ensures the Service team has the people, tools, equipment, systems and technical support needed to meet customer deadlines, operational KPIs and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Service Station, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery.
• Supervise and motivate the Service team, run daily meetings, allocate resources, set KPIs and handle performance or disciplinary matters.
• Plan workshop activities, customer site visits and field service to meet agreed turnaround times.
• Provide technical guidance across machining, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and engineering drawings, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure availability of tools, machinery, spare parts and consumables, and compliance with HSE, PPE, quality and audit requirements.
• Ensure SAP is used correctly and records are accurate; build relationships with customers, vendors and suppliers.
• Manage the budget and operating costs, contribute to workload and capacity planning, and mitigate operational, technical, commercial and safety risks.
• Analyse technical and operational reports (KPIs, workload, capacity, costs, delivery) and report regularly to the Director Operations - Middle East.
• Drive corrective actions and process improvements, support business requirements including travel within the Middle East and internationally, and accept other reasonable tasks from the Director Operations - Middle East.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
• Experience in a Service Station, maintenance, engineering or technical operations environment, and people-management experience, preferably leading technical teams.
• Aviation industry experience, especially GSE and engine tooling, strongly preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence and passport, with willingness to travel within the Middle East and internationally.

Required skills

• Machining, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics/electrical systems.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Practical knowledge of aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and engine tooling is mandatory.
• Proven troubleshooting, reporting and leadership in a technical service environment.
