Shift Supervisor

About the role

We want you in our team! As a Shift Supervisor at GAC in Dubai, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, coordinate shift resources and support the team responsible for safe, accurate and efficient contract logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily shift activities, assign team members according to workload and priorities, and brief warehouse teams clearly on their tasks.
• Manage warehouse staffing schedules and support day‑to‑day team coordination.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the warehouse and keep required operational records up to date.
• Carry out regular stock checks during the shift.
• Monitor warehouse facilities, equipment and machinery, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow GAC’s health, safety, security and environmental procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the operation to raise concerns, share ideas and improve ways of working.
• Support productivity and service quality by identifying practical improvements in day‑to‑day warehouse activities.

Required profile

• A university degree (a diploma in logistics or shipping is preferred).
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Indian subcontinent languages is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems and software.
• At least two years of experience in logistics or shipping.
