Site Architect – Construction Supervision

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative Site Architect to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role provides technical expertise and architectural oversight on dynamic construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved designs, contract documents and local authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and verify all architectural works, ensuring they meet approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and building codes.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, mock‑ups, method statements and RFIs with a focus on design intent and quality.
• Conduct regular site inspections of workmanship, material quality, finishes, façade interfaces, waterproofing, roofing and architectural installations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with structural, MEP, façade and specialist contractors to resolve complex issues.
• Monitor contractor performance, identify risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain project standards.
• Lead snagging, practical completion and handover inspections, ensuring all architectural elements meet required standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in construction supervision and architectural site oversight, preferably on high‑rise or complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural specifications, international building codes and UAE local authority requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools.
• Expertise in shop drawing review, submittal management and RFI processing.
• Solid understanding of fire and life safety, accessibility standards and sustainability principles.
• Knowledge of waterproofing, roofing, façade systems and architectural finishes.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and local authority regulations.
