Site Engineer – Steel Building Construction

About the role

Group AMANA is looking for an AE Site Engineer in its Construction Civil department. You will be the on-site champion for steel building contracts, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, overseeing construction activities and making sure every project meets Amana's high standards of excellence, sustainability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations for steel structure installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Monitor project schedules, track progress and implement corrective actions to keep milestones on track.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and enforce quality control procedures.
• Maintain site documentation such as daily logs, progress reports and material tracking.
• Manage on-site procurement, material handling and storage to minimise waste and delays.
• Lead safety briefings, enforce PPE use and carry out incident investigations as needed.
• Facilitate communication between the field team and office engineering staff, and prepare status updates for senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on site engineering experience in steel building construction.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Valid UAE driving licence and ability to travel to multiple project sites.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction management software such as Primavera and MS Project.
• AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, standards and safety regulations.
• Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure, and leadership of diverse on-site teams.
