Site Manager – Engineering Support Services

About the role

The AFCAP Site Manager (SM) will lead the end‑to‑end execution of the Engineering Support Services contract at Abu Dhabi Air Base, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement, USAF expectations and Amentum corporate objectives. This senior position provides on‑site leadership, strategic direction and serves as the primary interface with U.S. Air Force stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site operations to guarantee safe, compliant and efficient delivery of engineering and construction services.
• Act as the main point of contact for USAF leadership and contracting representatives.
• Oversee planning, scheduling and delivery of all PWS requirements.
• Enforce safety, quality and regulatory compliance standards.
• Manage site‑level forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Direct and develop a multi‑disciplinary workforce, ensuring proper staffing and performance.
• Identify and mitigate operational and contractual risks.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors and supply‑chain activities.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting to AFCAP program leadership while driving continuous performance improvements.

Required profile

• U.S. Navy background with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project planning and the ability to interpret plans and drawings.
• Experience supervising an engineering staff; a registered professional civil engineer is preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical and project‑management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to prepare management‑level reports and presentations.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• Must also serve as the Lead Electrical Engineer (licensed electrical engineer) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
