Site Nurse

About the role

Rowad Modern Engineering, a turnkey construction and engineering contractor, is hiring a Site Nurse. The nurse provides medical care and first aid to employees at construction sites, responds to medical emergencies, monitors workers' health and ensures compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first aid and basic medical care for workplace injuries, illnesses and emergencies
• Assess employees' health conditions and coordinate hospital referrals when needed
• Respond to site accidents and medical emergencies in coordination with the HSE team
• Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs and incident reports
• Keep the site clinic stocked with essential medical supplies and first-aid equipment
• Monitor workers' health and support occupational health awareness initiatives
• Coordinate with hospitals, ambulance services and other medical providers
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical waste
• Support the HSE team in implementing site health and safety procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of all employee medical information

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution
• Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) nursing licence or eligibility, as applicable
• Previous experience as a Site Nurse in the construction industry
• Ability to work effectively in a construction site environment

Required skills

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of first aid, emergency response and occupational health and safety
• Strong communication, reporting and emergency management skills
