Site Project Director

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is looking for an experienced and decisive Site Project Director to lead all aspects of its project operations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role covers complex site projects from inception through completion, keeping them aligned with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all site-based project activities, including planning, execution, monitoring and closure, within scope, schedule and budget.
• Lead, mentor and manage cross-functional project teams and communicate objectives and performance expectations clearly.
• Develop project plans, timelines and resource strategies, analyse performance metrics and take corrective action.
• Manage budgets, control costs and optimise resource use.
• Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans and make decisive decisions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, safety standards and organisational policies, and carry out regular audits and inspections.
• Report regularly to stakeholders, clients and senior management and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
• Apply project management best practices and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of professional project management experience, including at least 5 years in a site-based or construction project leadership capacity.
• Proven track record managing large, complex projects with budgets exceeding $5 million.
• Experience with budget management, cost control and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations, local building codes and regional project management standards.
• Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent; preferred: experience managing projects in the Middle East or UAE market.
• Required: High-rise building and hospitality experience.

• Advanced proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Risk assessment, mitigation and contingency planning.
