Social Media & Communications Specialist

About the role

The Social Media & Communications Specialist will lead awareness campaigns, manage CETL’s online presence, and support the university’s communication needs through design, content creation, and data handling.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute email, web, and social media campaigns targeting the UAEU teaching community.
• Design, build and maintain CETL’s presence on Yammer, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Produce performance reports using analytics tools to measure social media effectiveness.
• Create advertisements, brochures, posters, roll‑ups and other visual assets.
• Develop and design CETL’s monthly newsletter.
• Write press releases and coordinate distribution with the Media and Communications Department.
• Manage broadcasts for the university’s teaching community.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative communication strategies.
• Monitor relevant organisations’ public profiles and advise on emerging digital trends.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the CETL Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, e‑marketing, business or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience managing websites and professional social media accounts.
• Experience working in the UAE or the surrounding region is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of publishing and graphic‑design software.

• Graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
