Software Developer – Real‑time Telematics Platform

About the role

Geotab is seeking a Software Developer to join the team building a state‑of‑the‑art telematics platform that processes data from custom‑built hardware. The role involves writing high‑performance code in Java, Python, Go and creating fast, responsive user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑performance Java, Python, Go code and SQL queries to process and store data in real‑time.
• Develop fast, responsive UI components using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Participate in design discussions, document requirements and technical designs.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and conduct code reviews.
• Support on‑call rotation and assist support staff with technical issues.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of relevant experience.
• Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
