Software Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Callsign you will design, build and maintain end‑to‑end features across high‑throughput Java backend services and modern web interfaces. You will work in an Agile, collaborative environment alongside product, UX/UI and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java‑based backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code across the full stack following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and platform teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in peer code reviews, architectural discussions and address technical debt.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of commercial full‑stack development experience.
• Strong backend expertise in Java, Spring Boot and RESTful API design (gRPC a plus).
• Hands‑on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, preferably React.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and responsive UI design.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
• Familiarity with Docker, Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines and micro‑services architecture.
• Understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, authentication).
