About the role

As a Software Engineer at Callsign you will design, build, and maintain components of a highly transactional Java platform, working in an Agile, fast‑paced environment alongside cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and performant software.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain Java‑based services and APIs
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices
Participate in refinement sessions, code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Perform end‑to‑end testing of pushed code and support production deployments
Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks

Required profile

3‑6 years of commercial Java development experience
Strong knowledge of Java 8+/17+, Spring Boot and RESTful API design
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL
Familiarity with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
Understanding of OOP fundamentals, SOLID principles and software testing (unit, integration, contract, regression)
Experience with Docker, Linux and CI/CD pipelines
